The Company:
MobIS is a startup company currently incubated at PICTI, the Palestine Information and Communications Technology Incubator. MobIS is specialized in the area of mobile service and content.
The idea was founded by Hanna Kreitem and Steve Bader, Birzeit University Computer Science students, as their graduation project back in March 2004. The initial idea was to provide information to users using mobile technology, giving the user the option to choose what he wants when he needs it.
The concepts and ideas were further validated and developed at PICTI. As a result, the list of services was reconstructed, and new ideas were added. This was done to catch the trends and to better target our prime prospects. The new services include:
- Timed messages.
- Simple mCommerce applications.
- Entertainment (segmented services).
All along, the content repository was simultaneously growing, with new content added every day, and new content resources were defined. |

Ringo’s™ is the flagship product for Mobile Information Services (MobIS). It provides youth with a variety of services combining information and entertainment “infotainment”. This includes entertaining news, timed SMS, template SMS, logos and ring tones.
Ringo’s™ provides mobile users with personalized SMS services based on MobIS’s own developed technology related to indexing a mobile handset user's habits to deliver customized “infotainment” through its MobIS’s profiling and self-learning intelligent engine.
Ringo’s™ has its own innovative user interface application that can be easily downloaded from our website www.mobis.ps whereby you can also access content rich services and download them onto your mobile handset.

MobIS Ringo’s™ infotainment services can be accessed and used in one of two ways:
1. By sending the corresponding key word (short code) for the service as per the table below. In the case that the service has sub categories, the user will be prompted to key in the short code for the desired sub-category. |

2. The second option for accessing Ringo’s™ services is by downloading MobIS mobile client application from www.mobis.ps. As soon as the mobile application is installed on the mobile device you will be able to smoothly navigate through the list of services and select the desired service.

The founder and leading entrepreneur of MobIS. Mr. Kreitem holds a bachelor's degree in Computer Science with a minor in Business Administration from Birzeit University. He has notable experience with open source systems development at the IT Unit of Birzeit University, as well as working as a freelancer providing services such as web design, systems development, and networking.

Mr. Karmi is currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration at Birzeit University. Mr. Karmi has experience in IT support and development in various local organizations, as well as extensive marketing experience with a leading local fast moving consumer goods company.

Mr. Mustafa holds a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science with a minor in Business Administration from Birzeit University.
